Our Mission

The Information Theory and Machine Learning (vITAL) research lab focuses on foundational problems in information theory, machine learning, and data sciences. Currently, we focus on four main directions: (1) trustworthy, and scalable federated learning; (2) security and privacy in large-scale distributed systems; (3) transfer learning; and (4) coded computing.
